Thaddeus Jacobs, ND, MSOM, MAOM, LAc, DiplOM
Dr. Thaddeus Jacobs has been a licensed naturopathic physician since 1999 and, in addition to his doctorate in naturopathic medicine, has two masters degrees in Oriental medicine. He is Board Certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine and is a licensed naturopathic physician in both California and Utah. He specializes in Integrative Sports Medicine, prolotherapy joint rejuvination for injuries and degenerative arthritis, and acupuncture. He also provides comprehensive wellness solutions to help his patients achieve excellent health and performance.
Dr. Jacobs' approach to solving health problems is his wellness model. He utilizes a holistic, multi-faceted approach, providing what the body needs to heal, which include: 1) nutrition, 2) a healing stimulus and 3) removal of things that impede healing, such as poor diet, infection, toxins, and imbalances within the body's primary systems. These systems include the immune system, gastrointestinal system (including the liver) and the nervous system. Dr. Jacobs is an expert in treating diseases involving each of these systems, because these systems are crucial to addressing the root of illness and stimulating the body's natural ability to heal itself. This is how he successfully treats health problems from which patients have suffered for many months -sometimes even decades- even though they've exhaused conventional medicine options and, often, several other natural approaches.
Dr. Jacobs co-authored two editions of the book Interactions between Drugs and Natural Medicines and is a contributing author to a textbook chapter on Naturopathic Oncology. He is a member of both the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and its approved State counterparts, the California Naturopathic Doctors Association and Utah Association of Naturopathic Physicians. His past affiliations include: Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine, where he served as a clinical instructor and taught advanced orthopedic acupuncture techniques; the American Society of Pain Educators, for which he has served as a faculty member; the Naturopathic Academy of Therapeutic Injection; and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
